Foundation BAC: Re-run of Election for Distributions’ Delegate
As previously advised the election for the Distributions delegate for the Foundation BAC resulted in a tie. Therefore we will be re-running this election over the coming week.
Select the Distributions’ Delegate for the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the OpenSSL Foundation. This advisory committee is important in enhancing our governance structure, ensuring that decisions reflect the diverse stakeholders involved and that our Mission and Values remain aligned with the community’s needs.
Only one vote per distribution will be counted, regardless of the number of individuals participating. If multiple votes are cast by a distribution for different candidates, the candidate with the highest number of votes will be deemed the distribution’s choice. This approach ensures equal representation across all groups and fairness in the decision-making process.
Your participation is essential in shaping OpenSSL’s future and ensuring that the voice of the distributions is effectively represented.

Statement
I have been involved with the Oracle Linux distribution since early 2008. My early involvement with OpenSSL was backporting fixes to the distro's version of the openssl package and I've long been, and continue to be, concerned with how openssl fits in with the distro eco-system.
