RFC Topics on the next BoD-BAC meeting (Monday, November 9th)

Hi BAC members,

Our next monthly Board and BAC call is Monday 9 November, 1:00–2:00 pm (second Monday, as usual). I’d like to collect topics before then, so please reply here with anything you want on the agenda.

Already proposed on it:

  • Review "Since last time" (conference panel, trip reports, Windows installer for 4.1)

    • Share any important updates worth raising

  • OpenSSL 3.0 EOL Updates

  • CRA reporting Updates

  • FIPS 140-3 status

  • RFC for proposals for BAC budget spending?

  • Any plans to join FOSDEM 2027 (Jan 30–31); time for a Poll?

  • Small Business seat and the 2027 election cycle

What to reply with: one line per topic, plus what you need from the group (information, advice or a decision) and which community it comes from.

Please reply by Friday 6 November so the final agenda goes out over the weekend. Late items are welcome and will be taken under AOB.

Interested in the FIPS status for FP3.5. I have heard some rumblings about ML-DSA concerns or issues with CMVP. If there is info on that, it would be very useful for the communities.

Also, would like to ask about OpenSSL support for static FP? Any plans or demand at all (Apple??).
