Nominee: John Haxby
Statement
I have been involved with the Oracle Linux distribution since early 2008. My early involvement with OpenSSL was backporting fixes to the distro's version of the openssl package and I've long been, and continue to be, concerned with how openssl fits in with the distro eco-system.
I'm often the "go to" person for anything to do with Linux and my colleagues at Oracle saw me as the natural choice to represent the Oracle Linux distribution. Beyond that, I've been a developer on Unix and Linux for over four decades and my wide-ranging operating system and distro knowledge provides a solid background in the distro eco-system.

Can we know which company each nominee represents? I presume John represents Oracle.
Who does Dmitry represents?

@Igor Seletskiy You're absolutely right - I've updated the poll to include the companies the candidates represent.
