The OpenSSL Foundation invites each participating delegate to vote in the selection of the Committers Representative for the Foundation Advisory Committee.

This is the Foundation Advisory Committee election (2026). The Foundation has a combined advisory committee.

Voting Details:

  • Voters may update or change their selection at any point until the voting period closes.
  • The results will be visible after the election is closed.
  • Currently we have 26 active or new committers. Since a quorum of 15% of committers is required, that means at least 4 people must vote for this to be a valid election.

Igor Ustinov, Senior Software Engineer, OpenSSL Foundation

I have been involved with the OpenSSL project for two decades. Earlier this year, I became an OpenSSL committer. I am nominating myself to represent the Committer Community.

For the past year, I have served on the OpenSSL Foundation Technical Advisory Committee as a representative of the Individuals Community. This experience has given me a good understanding of the Foundation's advisory process and of how community perspectives can contribute to its work.

As both an active developer and a committer, I am closely involved in the day-to-day technical work of the OpenSSL project. I believe this perspective would be valuable to the Foundation Advisory Committee, particularly in helping maintain a strong connection between the Foundation and the people directly involved in developing and maintaining OpenSSL.

Having already served on the Technical Advisory Committee, I would also bring continuity to the newly combined Advisory Committee while representing the Committer Community in my new role.
