Statement
I have work on Open Source projects as a developer for too many years to count. I have been a Samba Team member for 20 years (now retired), and founded several successful projects as well as contributed to dozen f big ans small projects.
I have been working all my career on security and cryptography-adjacent areas for most of my carer (Identiy Managment, Kerberos, PKCS#11, etc...).
I believe my background provides me with technical insights that will help OpenSSL make decisions that are not only technically sound but also align with community values and the overall direction the Open Source and Cryptography communities are moving towards these days.
