Good question! There is an FAQ that might be relevant:

What if my plans change?
Conference ticket — refundable until 14 September (four weeks before the event), minus a 10% processing fee. Non-refundable after.

But I will check with the organizers to get a more definiative answer.

Would it be more reimbursement based? Scholarship however are rewarded and disburse immediately at the agreed upon date by both parties I’m assuming?

@josefedwards For the scholarship, the Foundation has already set aside conference registration slots. When we award the scholarship, it will simply be assigning a pre-paid registration.

Sorry for the late reply. I did check with the Corporation.

1. There is an invoice option that will delay payment by 14 days.
2. Since speakers haven't been selected, the conference will consider compensating or discounting people who applied. That might mean refunding the difference if a speaker had already registered early. This will be done on a case-by-case basis.
3. The application for the Foundation scholarship is July 15. Depending no how many qualified applications we receive, we might extend to a rolling deadline.
